University Rail Center project. Funded through a $3.5 million grant
from the U.S. Department of Transportation, the project will give
Rose-Hulman students invaluable engineering experience within a
growth industry, addressing the needs of the future.

Rose-Hulman's student engineers inspire through leadership and
initiative as they reach out to a world in need. As part of a
month-long celebration of Martin Luther King and his inspirational
ideas, Rose-Hulman honors engaged students who exemplify respect
for the dignity of all. Meet this year's
MLK Award recipients.(Angelica Patino,

Surveys of today's employers show that leadership is
high on their list of qualities in demand, and Rose-Hulman
has a tradition of shaping students with strong
leadership skills. In keeping with that tradition, this
year's prestigious Thinkers50 Leadership Award, sponsored by
the Harvard Business Review, went to Rose-Hulman alumnus
Marshall Goldsmith as the world's most influential
leadership thinker. Read more.
In addition to a top ranking education, Rose-Hulman leads
graduates to
top-paying jobs. By year's end, the class of 2011 had reached
99% placement, and many of these RHIT graduates began their careers
at top starting salaries. This year's
Winter Career Fair saw a 37% increase in the number
of companies recruiting Rose-Hulman students.
